Overview
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) for Oculus Biologics is a critical role within the company as they are the outward facing representative of the company to our customers which may include, but not be limited to physicians, nurses, hospitals and group purchasing organizations (GPO’s). The ISR is responsible for promoting our biologics portfolio to customers over the phone and through internet marketing to achieve revenue targets and manage the sales channel of Oculus within the assigned territory. The ISR is also responsible for gaining knowledge of the industry and trends and to report that information to Oculus to help inform the company’s strategic plan. The ISR must demonstrate proficiency in penetrating an assigned sales territory remotely to uncover sales opportunities, presenting complex biologic concepts related to Oculus’ portfolio and to manage the sales process through to revenue generation. The ISR will report to the CEO and be a self-starter and learner able to work autonomously toward the completion of assigned goals and tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Remotely (phone and internet) call on physician offices and hospitals accounts for the promotion of Oculus Biologics’ products.
- Achieve territory sales targets.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan leading to the accomplish of the territory revenue goals.
- Develop and maintain biologics market, company product and general business acumen knowledge.
- Develop and maintain technical telemarketing selling skills and apply those skills to effectively present Oculus products to customers in the marketplace and manage Oculus product sales processes.
- Manage existing physician and hospital accounts within the territory to maintain existing business and establish growth within those accounts.
- Participate in trade shows, sales meetings, workshops or other marketing opportunities as may be directed by Oculus Biologics.
- Work productively with the internal Oculus team to the betterment of the company.
- Complete assigned tasks, reports, training requirements and record keeping responsibilities in a timely fashion.
Core Skill and Background Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree. 3 years of successful sales experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree with 2 of those years being in the medical device industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Demonstrated self-driven mindset and the ability to work successfully in an environment will little supervision.
- Flexible attitude able to work well in a dynamic changing environment.
- Ability to establish relationships in a professional environment.
- Ability to learn and effectively communicate scientific information.
- Creative and ethical goal attainment attitude.
- Computer skills include Microsoft Office applications and an understanding of CRM systems.
Work Conditions:
- This position is located in at our office in Willowbrook, Illinois.
- Overnight travel as needed to support sales opportunities or support customers.
- Some air travel as may be required to visit customers as appropriate, attend industry or company directed events.
